Green Cay Wetlands
Green Cay's 1.5-mile boardwalk sits a few miles from Wakodahatchee and covers similar ground: a constructed marsh with dependable gator sightings and a busy bird population. Early morning is quietest and coolest for a walk that takes about 45 minutes at an easy pace. The boardwalk is elevated over the marsh the entire way, so there's no ground-level access to the water. Keep at least 30 feet of open water between you and any gator you spot, and never feed them.
