Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge
The Big Slough Boardwalk is an easy elevated walk directly over gator habitat, good for a fast, safe look without wading into marsh grass. Fall through spring the auto tour route also turns up gators sunning on the levees. Keep to the boardwalk rail and don't lean over the water; gators here are wild, not park pets. Feeding is prohibited and dangerous.
