Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve

A 1.2-mile boardwalk through cypress wetland in Fort Myers, with gators visible in the slough most of the year and most active in the warmer months. The boardwalk loop is short enough for a quick stop, but slow down at the open water sections where gators tend to bask. Everything here is viewed from above on the boardwalk, so there's no direct bank access to worry about. No feeding, and keep pets on leash and off the boardwalk rail.
