Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge — Black Point Wildlife Drive

Black Point Wildlife Drive is a 7-mile self-guided auto route through coastal marsh near Kennedy Space Center, with gators regularly seen from the road in the impoundments on either side. Cooler months bring the most reliable sightings alongside heavy waterbird traffic. Stay in or right next to the car at the pullouts; the impoundment banks drop off quickly. No feeding, and no walking out into the marsh itself.
