Alligator Viewing Spot · Oklahoma

Red Slough Wildlife Management Area

Red Slough is one of the only reliable alligator spots in Oklahoma, a managed wetland complex near the Arkansas and Texas borders known mainly for birding but home to a small resident gator population. Warmer months are the best window for a sighting along the impoundment edges and levee roads. Roads here are gravel and can flood, so check conditions before visiting. Keep well back from the water and do not feed any wildlife on the property.
