Millwood State Park

Millwood Lake sits near the edge of the alligator's range in southwest Arkansas, and the park's shoreline trails and boat launches are the best bet for a sighting, most likely in the warmer months. Gators are less dense here than in Gulf coast states, so treat any sighting as a bonus rather than a guarantee. Keep well back from the shoreline and never approach a gator for a photo. The lake is popular for fishing, so boaters should give any gator on the water plenty of room.
