Lettuce Lake Park
A boardwalk and observation tower along the Hillsborough River in Tampa put gators in easy view without leaving the city. Warmer months bring gators out to bask on the riverbank below the boardwalk and tower. The park is popular with runners and families, so stay on the boardwalk and don't let kids lean over the rail for a closer look. Feeding wildlife in the park is against county rules.
